The Sub Church Volumes: Sub Church was founded in 1997 by Christian punks, metalheads and others who found themselves alone in their local congregations – from Lutheran to Pentecostal, and everything in between. Music was a major contributing factor to the founding of the community, with many members active in one or more bands in the Oslo scene. Over the years, artists in and around Sub Church have released dozens of albums – more often than not to high acclaim – but a pure worship album never materialized.

Long overdue, we decided to make three: Sub Church Vol I–III offers 27 songs performed by 9 different constellations – a snapshot of the worship played on Sunday services at Sub Church.
